TCH JCB Welcomes Penistone Young Farmers Club!
We were thrilled to host Penistone Young Farmers Club for a tour of our Chapeltown depot. It was a great way for members of the club to take a look around machinery in our yard, as well as learn about how we operate as a business.
Open to anyone from the ages of 10-28, Penistone Young Farmers Club is a fantastic organisation dedicated to young people with an interest in agriculture and rural life. The club has around 70 members, as well as a rich history dating back 80 years. Today, the club enjoys regular socials and activities, whilst also continuing a long tradition of charity fundraising – most notably for Young Lives vs Cancer.
Adding a family face to the tour was Will Sugden, one of TCH JCB’s Service Engineers. Will has a long legacy with the Penistone Young Farmers Club, having been a member since he was just 10 years old. His dedication to the club continues as he currently holds the position of Club Treasurer. His presence during the depot visit ensured that club members received valuable insights from both a technical and agricultural perspective.
The tour was also the perfect chance for younger members of the club to consider a career with TCH, having knowledgeable staff members on hand to discuss future apprenticeships and work opportunities within the business.
