Job description

  • Mastermind workflow: Manage daily tasks for workshop and field technicians, maximising resource utilisation and adhering to manufacturer standards.
  • Become the customer champion: Handle inquiries, create and manage digital job cards, and ensure an accurate recording of labour & parts, exceeding expectations every step of the way.
  • Cost control expert: Monitor operating costs (including overheads) and implement strategies to stay within budget while maintaining quality service.
  • Inspire and lead: Set high standards, foster a positive and engaged team environment, and ensure performance levels are maintained.
  • Deliver service excellence: Meet and exceed TC Harrison’s renowned customer service standards, both internally and externally.
  • Quote with confidence: Provide accurate repair quotes based on your technical expertise.
  • Safety first: Ensure employee safety by adhering to policies, conducting audits, developing improved safety plans, and investigating near misses/incidents.
  • Maintain meticulous records: Track vehicle maintenance and compliance accurately, including external work and invoicing.
  • Support the Depot Manager: Provide performance updates, address staffing anomalies, and work collaboratively to solve challenges.
  • Be a team player: Comply with company policies and procedures, demonstrating your commitment to excellence.
  • Never Stop Learning: Participate in depot meetings, share knowledge, and embrace opportunities for personal and professional development.

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • Strong organisational experience.
  • Motivates and leads staff through positive engagement and open communication.
  • Identifies and shares best practises to develop the operation as a whole.
  • Possesses good analytical and numerical skills.
  • 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English
  • good communication and computer skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a service environment, ideally with plant industry or motor trade background

Whilst the above is desirable, a candidate with a suitable attitude and the desire to perform as part of a professional team will be considered. An organised and thorough approach to administrative duties would be an advantage as would a willingness to learn all aspects of the Service Administration process and a flexible approach to your work.
