Abba Plant Hire First to Receive JCB A45EH Articulated Booms
TC Harrison JCB would like to thank APH Cranes & Access, a division of Abba Plant Hire, for taking delivery of 10 JCB A45EH articulated booms. These innovative machines are the first of their kind to be delivered in the United Kingdom, after an initial launch in May 2023.
The A45EH hybrid articulated boom features a classic 45ft geometry with dual sigma riser, two-section telescopic boom, as well as an articulating jib. This configuration provides a maximum working height of 15.8 metres and up to 7.47 metres of outreach, with an unrestricted platform capacity of 300kg at an up and over clearance height of 7.48 metres.
For fleets seeking an eco-friendly solution without sacrificing the ability to operate remotely, the hybrid model provides a practical balance. This model has a 14.8kW three-cylinder diesel engine and a 7.5kW generator, which in turn powers eight 6V batteries for smooth operation.
