A Successful Two Days at the JCB National Operator Challenge!
What a fantastic two days we had at the first National Operator Challenge! Held at the historic Wentworth Woodhouse in Rotherham, the event saw some of the most skilled excavator operators in the region go head-to-head in a thrilling display of precision and dexterity.
The competition featured two timed challenges, specifically designed by JCB to test the operators’ proficiency with handling the JCB 140X and 245XR tracked excavators. From delicate manoeuvres to demonstrations of speed, the challenges showcased the incredible talent and control these operators possess.
The atmosphere at the event was upbeat as everyone enjoyed watching and competing in the challenges. Spectators and competitors also had the exclusive first opportunity to see the all-new JCB 370x – as well as the limited edition 70th Anniversary Platinum Edition JCB 4CX Backhoe Loader alongside a fully restored 1990 Turbo Plus provided by our friends and customer K-Plant.
Kids attending the event were also involved in the operator fun, thanks to the digger simulator machine supplied by NPORS on site which allowed the operators of tomorrow to get some of their first experience controlling a machine. We would also like to thank The English Indian for providing food for the event, with their unique Indian style fish and chips for all to enjoy.

We would like to extend our thanks to everyone at both JCB and TCH JCB who helped make this event a resounding success, as well as the wonderful and helpful staff at Wentworth Woodhouse. We would also like to thank all the operators that took part in the two challenges.
We wish the best of luck to the top three performers who will be attending the Grand Final with the chance to win a trip to Las Vegas, hosted by JCB.
